Are you a Zambian citizen with aspirations for technical or vocational education and training (TEVET) in the upcoming year? If so, the Teveta bursary might be your key to pursuing these courses, courtesy of the Ministry of Technology and Science (MoTS). This financial aid program aims to assist deserving students with their educational expenses, covering tuition fees, accommodation, meals, books, and other essential materials throughout the course.

Eligibility Criteria

Before embarking on your Teveta bursary application journey, ensure you meet these essential criteria:

  1. Zambian citizenship with a green national registration card (NRC).
  2. Qualifications such as a full Grade 12 school certificate, GCE five (5) O-levels or equivalent, or a Grade 9 certificate.
  3. Admission or acceptance letter from any TEVET institution under MoTS.
  4. Assessment by social welfare officers and an electronic social welfare report.
  5. Age requirement: 25 years or below; for differently-abled individuals, 35 years or below.
  6. Not a returning student.

Application Process

Once eligibility is confirmed, follow these steps to apply online through the Teveta bursary system portal:

1. Visit TEVETA APPLICATION WEBSITE

2. Create an account if you're a first-time applicant; otherwise, sign in with existing credentials.

3. Navigate to 'Apply Here' after logging in.

4. Complete the application form, providing personal, academic, and financial details. Upload scanned copies of your NRC, admission or acceptance letter, and social welfare report.

5. Click 'Submit' to complete the application, and note your application reference number for future reference.

Selection Process

After the application period, the MoTS (TEVET) Bursaries Committee will review applications based on merit and need. The selection process concludes with the announcement of successful candidates.

Successful candidates will be announced on the MoTS website and the Teveta bursary system portal. Notifications will also be sent via email or SMS.

Successful candidates must sign a bursary agreement and enroll in their respective institutions.

Conclusion

The Teveta bursary opens doors for Zambian students pursuing TEVET courses. If you meet the criteria, don't miss this opportunity. Apply before the deadline.
